Athletic Booster Meeting
The next Athletic Boosters meeting is scheduled for Sunday, October 25th at 5:30. Location is Susan & Blake Wolf’s house, 569 Pheasant Trail, Metamora, IL 61548.

Chess!
Chess is starting this week! The first practice is today after school in Mrs. Eckstein’s room until 4:30. Chess is open to students in 3rd – 8th grade. Information was sent home last week to interested students. Student Council is selling BOO-GRAMS, and they’re packed with treats! Each Boo-Gram comes with a Tootsie Pop—perfect for Halloween fun!
Here’s the scoop:
• Cost: Only 50 cents per Boo-Gram!
• Deadline: Bring your order and money to school by October 27
• The Big Reveal: Get your Boo-Grams on Friday, October 30 during the Halloween Party!

Our first St. Mary’s Athletic Boosters Restaurant Night is Tuesday, October 6 at Monical’s Pizza!
Show or mention the fundraiser flyer when ordering and 20% of your bill will be donated back to our Athletic Boosters!
Important: The fundraiser is only valid at the Morton and Washington Monical’s locations. Come enjoy a night off from cooking and support our St. Mary’s athletes at the same time!

St. Mary’s School Choir
Mrs. Strauss, our music teacher, is starting a school choir. Here are the details: Open to: Grades 3-8, Starting: Monday, October 5
Mondays after school until 3:50 in the Art Room
Activities: Sing at school Masses and concerts
We sing many different types of music!

Note: If you join the choir, we expect you to stay for the school year.
More information will be given at the first rehearsal.

Bake Sale Fundraiser for American Heritage Girls!
Join us after Masses on October 3rd and 4th for our very first troop fundraiser! Stop by and choose from a variety of cookies, muffins, brownies and more, for just $2 each! All proceeds support our troop’s badge work, community service projects, and gear for future outdoor adventures. Thank you for your support!

TRUNK-OR-TREAT
St. Mary’s will once again be hosting our Trunk-or-Treat on Sunday October 25th from 2-3:30PM. Come join us for family friendly fun on the blacktop. This year we have Poppin’ Floyds Kettle Corn, apple cider from the Altar & Rosary Society, the famous train car will be back along with a festive backdrop for your annual photos. There will be a “Boo Basket” raffle for our trunk hosts.
If you’d like to host a trunk and pass out candy to our “little ghosts & goblins” please reach out to Mrs. Schick in the school office to reserve your spot.”

Boys Basketball
Any 5th-8th Graders interested in trying out for the boys basketball team, a mandatory parent meeting and first practice/tryouts will be October 19 at 5:00 at Riverview Grade School. If you plan to participate, you must have a current physical on file in the St. Mary’s School office.
