Calendar Year:
Our school year runs mid August – early June. St. Mary’s strives to align the school calendar as closely as possible to the surrounding public schools. This is to utilize shared bus service and make scheduling more convenient for families that have children at STM and MTHS.
Child Safety:
All school personnel and volunteers complete the Safe Environment Training Program required by the Diocese of Peoria, as well as fingerprint background checks. Children are never left unsupervised in or outside the building; School Messenger is utilized to announce school closings, emergencies, important dates, and activities.
Parent Involvement:
Parent involvement is vital to our mission and success at St. Mary’s School. They assist in many ways such as room parents, coaches, drivers, helpers, fundraisers, and guest speakers.
OUR SCHOOL AND FAITH COMMUNITY
St. Mary’s School is the only Catholic Grade School in Woodford County. We have educated children living in the Metamora, Germantown Hills, Washburn, Washington, Eureka, and Roanoke areas for over 135 years. This is a tradition we are very proud of and one that we continue to build on as a faith community and family.
