Our students receive the sacrament of Penance and First Holy Communion in second grade. St. Mary’s second grade teacher and the CCD teacher collaborate in preparing the students to receive these sacraments.
We have Confirmation every other year with the seventh and eighth grade students. This is also combined with the CCD students. Typically this sacrament takes place at the St. Mary’s Cathedral in Peoria with other schools. The bishop officiates over Confirmation.
