May 13 -8th Grade Send-Off!!
Next Wednesday, May 13, we will have an 8th Grade Send-Off at the end of school. Gather on the blacktop at 2:50 to cheer for the 8th grade students as they are dismissed for the last time at St. Mary’s School.
Preschool – End of year ceremony on May 21 at 2:00
This will also be preschool’s last day. Preschool will not come on May 22.
School Library
All library materials must be returned by Monday, May 18. For 8th grade students, the return deadline is May 11.
St. Mary’s Awards Ceremony
Our awards ceremony will take place May 12 at 6:00 p.m. in the church. Any families with 5-8 graders involved in school sanctioned Athletics, Scholastic Bowl or Chess are invited.
2025-2026 Yearbooks! DEADLINE TO ORDER IS MAY 15!
Please see the attached order form. The cost is $25.00 each. Your student should have also brought home an order form. You can complete and return either one to order. (There are extra forms in the school office.)

Baseball Coach Needed!
We’re Hiring: Fall Baseball Coach (Grades 5-8)
St. Mary’s Metamora is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic baseball coach for the upcoming season. This is a great opportunity to mentor young athletes, build teamwork and support student growth both on and off the field.
We’re seeking someone who values sportsmanship, positivity and faith-based leadership.
Tryouts can begin August 3 & post-season play ends September 26.

Old Settlers Food Tent – Help Request
This year for the Old Settlers Food Tent, we have several key players who are unable to help due to vacations, weddings, etc. This leaves a bit of a void, and we could really use some people to step up into these roles.
Saturday Morning Pie Chairperson – This person is responsible for pie-making on Saturday morning in the cafeteria, along with a crew of about 8-10 people. We will do our best to get the crew, but feel free to recruit your own group as well. All ingredients and supplies are provided. Date is Saturday, June 27, and typical time frame is 6am-10am.
Tent Shift Leaders – This role is typically filled by a couple (husband/wife, sisters, friends, you name it). We are looking for some new faces to lead a few a shifts in the tent. Responsibilities include ensuring the tent is running smoothly, keeping food stocked, and enabling the workers to complete their tasks. Specifically, we are looking to fill three vacancies: Thursday June 25 from 4pm – 9:30pm and Saturday, June 27 from 10am – 4pm and 4pm – 10pm.
